Kindergarten students at SES experience the Colonial Days!

Spinners and weavers

Kindergarten students at Sewanee Elementary completed their CKLA Colonial Towns and Townspeople reading unit by demonstrating what daily life was like for the people in America hundreds of years ago. Students learned about the different tradespeople (millers, bakers, spinners, weavers, dressmakers, tailors, hatters, cobblers, bricklayers, masons, carpenters, the blacksmith) who provided goods and services during this time and created a Colonial American Town.
